Today was a very special day because I was surprised by my hubby's family with a luncheon for baby girl. I was told his grandma was coming in for lunch. I complained all morning because I had to dress up, and I didn't understand why we were going to a nice restaurant that is famous for ribs in the middle of the day (1:45pm). I rolled with it, and kept my cool even when hubby took a sudden interest in what I was choosing to wear, and was suddenly getting the cleaning bug (so weird now that I think about it all!). Even still...I had no clue! I only figured it out when we were pulling into his sister's neighborhood and I saw one of his aunts (that was not supposed to be at the lunch) driving into the subdivision. It clicked...omg this is for me. I turned to him and, using his full name, questioned him about our intentions for going to his sisters. Sure as can be, when we pulled up there were lots of suspect cars in the driveway and on the street.
My MIL and SIL hosted a "sprinkle" for me with all the ladies from my hubby's side. I was so surprised and touched! I was even more surprised when I turned the corner and there was MY mom, who drove 5 hours to also be there! I was so touched they went to all this trouble for a second baby. I am incredibly blessed and loved, and so is baby girl! It was a lovely afternoon!
