My Work Friends Rock!

Much to my chagrin, my work friends insisted on hosting something to celebrate little girl. With my second LO, I felt it was unnecessary, even though she's a girl and I have a little man at home.  After much coaxing, I caved, but only if the guest list was small and that it was not "baby shower"-ish.  So my amazing work friends (8 of 'em) gave me a great brunch!  It was perfect for our group because it was lots of finger foods, minimal baby gift opening, and lots of booze (although not for me...sadly!).  The brunch started at 11am, and I didn't end up leaving until 6:30pm!!!!  A coworker of mine didn't even make it into work today because of my baby shower!  LOL!  You don't hear that too often do you!? :) It was a day full of gossiping, laughs, food and friendship.  Baby girl got lots of great books, clothes and a huge gift card for Buy Buy Baby!  I am very blessed to have such amazing women in my life here in Cincy.  I am especially grateful because Cincy isn't really "home" to me.  It's nice to finally feel like I have found a great support system here, since I know we are here for the long-haul.  Although Chicago will always be home, Cincy felt a lot like home yesterday!  Thanks ladies!  You rock!
