Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

How far along?: 15 weeks!
Weight gain/loss: no clue...and not interested in knowing
Symptoms: gas! Pass the tums please!
Maternity clothes?: yup. Going shopping this weekend for more. My wardrobe is pretty lame these days.
Stretch marks?: nope...but given how big my ass is...God knows what's going on back there!
Sleep: Usually can make it till 10 or 10:30pm now...I've gained an hour! Whoopie!
Best moment this week: NBR...voting! It really makes me feel like I'm participating in my community and my state.
Food cravings: peaches & anything with vinegar or BBQ sauce. Weird..but true!
Gender: The new "old wives tale" I heard this week was to look for a bloodshot V in the bottom whites of my eyes to predict the gender (weird I know). My "V" is in my right eye, which supposedly means boy...and left means it's a girl! Who knows.
Belly button in or out?: in
Movement?: yes...but rare! I think I might have an anterior placenta.
Signs of Labor: nope
What I miss?: This week it was back to alcohol. I went to a Halloween party with our neighbors on Saturday and being sober sucked!
What I'm looking forward to: Energy!!!! I see glimpses of it 4 days/week (like tonight) and I long for the ability to participate in my family again after working a full day.
Weekly Wisdom: I'm addicted to coffee. There's no doubt. When I have a half and half coffee in the morning...my day is all that much better. Man...caffeine is a drug...my drug...and I'm okay with it!
Weekly WTF: How does the local Becoming Mom store know I'm pregnant? No seriously...do they have ESP or something? It's creepy...not a mailing for 4 years...and now...one shows up in the mail. Who told them?? Weird!
Milestones: A random co-worker I didn't tell I was pregnant said "congratuations" to me today. I guess I'm finally "looking" pregnant to strangers...which is exciting! :)
Here I am this morning 11/02 with my belly & my ever-growing behind. Must God make me balanced?!? Geez!
